Dave Platt

After leaving school in the UK, Dave attended university to study a Bachelor of Arts in 3-D Design where he quickly found his passion for all things design. This new found passion and a love of working with timber led him to start his own furniture making business in his home town. During the early years of the venture he also used his university contacts to work with industry professionals in cabinet making and construction.

Wanting to expand his knowledge Dave began to travel around the world finally settling in Australia. Knowing that he always wanted to work for himself he and Olivia formed the company Liv Designs in 2006. With his working background in England Dave started from scratch to build up his experience and relevant licences to where he is at today.

Olivia Platt

Olivia first 'fell' into design at high school and like Dave, quickly found that it would be a passion for life. After high school it was on to study a diploma of Arts (Furniture Design) at RMIT university. This was a course perfect for diving into arts including interiors, textiles, welding and photography to name a few. Olivia then travelled overseas where she met Dave. Together they worked within his company completing various pieces of one off design furniture for their clients. Travels took them back home to Australia where they now work together in their business.

Over the past 15 years they have both continued to pursue their love of design. Liv Designs is primarily a renovation business however with their involovment in furniture and interiors the business has expanded to provide a rounded experience for their clients.
